Clinical Supervision

Michelle is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about supporting therapists develop their thinking and reflective capacity to provide best care to both their clients and themselves.


Michelle has extensive experience working with young people and families whose difficulties are acute and complex. Michelle primarily uses systemic and structural lenses and a dialogical stance in a developmentally sensitive way alongside attachment and emotion-focused principles.  


Formerly, Michelle was team lead at the Eating Disorder Intensive Program for Adolescents (EDIPA) in the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. She worked with the team full time for six years, and was involved in all aspects of therapeutic work, rural clinician education and training, and clinical supervision delivered by the service. Michelle has expertise and extensive experience in delivering treatment for adolescents with anorexia nervosa within a family-based treatment model (including multifamily therapy), individual formulation-driven treatment, and online and face-to-face group work, including RO DBT. 


More recently, Michelle has worked as a clinical psychologist at a child and adolescent mental health inpatient unit, supporting with young people and their families through a variety of presentations that have brought them to hospital, including assessment and diagnostic clarification, re-formulation, treatment, supervision and consultation to community teams, and preparation for outpatient work. 


Supervision with Michelle is collaborative, reflective, educational, and restorative to support supervisees develop their own style, deepen their thinking and formulation, and understand and process their responses to clients, particularly in the context of their own experience.

  • Family Based Treatment (FBT) for Anorexia Nervosa (Maudsley Model)
  • Radically Open Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (RO DBT) for disorders of overcontrol
  • Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT)
  • Emotion Coaching (EC) & Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) 
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Schema Therapy
  • Structural and systemic thinking and formulation
  • Incorporating a dialogical stance in treatment and reflection 


Michelle is available for individual supervision via TeleHealth on Saturday mornings and some weeknight evenings. 


Cost

$200 per 60 minute session

(GST inclusive)
